Our trip to the 2013 Flemish Giant Nationals in Cortland, NY
Pauli, CrazyRanch Giantry, and I drove to Cortland, NY to experience the Nationals first hand. We decided not to take rabbits for show, instead to observe the Nationals "unencumbered", mingle with everyone there, see what it's all about... and buy rabbits!
Over 300 Flemish shown! Amazing!
We met so many people, got to put names to faces of the "who's who" in the Flemish world...we learned a great deal and we had a blast! And in the end, between the 2 of us we brought back 12 rabbits! Pauli met Charles Bryant (Wooley Boogers) and Cheryl Gott (Gott Flemish?), and I met Ray Skogland of Ray's Rabbits for the first time; together we met, Bob Bomia, Fred Russell of Russell's Rabbitry, Larry Rishel of Dinnerbell Flemish Giants, Juan Perez & son Ian of Iberia Rabbit Farm, Kathy Chapin of Vortex Hollow Flemish Farm, Cathy Caracciolo of Sunny Oaks Rabbits, Ed Dulin of Dulin's Rabbit Ranch, Bill Bechdel, Linda Bates of LB Rabbitry, Carlo & Fern Zappia and their grandson Thomas....so many people...it's hard to keep all the names and faces straight! (: I'm sure I'm forgetting someone, but I don't think I've ever met a nicer group of people. (:

We plan on attempting a second trip, this time to the ARBA Convention in Harrisburg Pa. in October...this time we may even take rabbits with us to show! (:
We have to order show coats first though! lol
